🎨 The Railway Bridge Art Project unveiling on 27 Sept was a wonderful celebration of local creativity – well attended & warmly received
🛍️ The Autumn Market on 27 Sept brought a busy High Street and brilliant community spirit – thank you to everyone who joined us!
🤝 The Meet the Councillor event on 27 Sept had great engagement with residents – thank you for coming along to share your views
🪧 New fingerpost signs have been installed, helping everyone find their way around town
🪑 Accessible benches have now been installed in Wickford Memorial Park and Nevendon Park, making our green spaces more welcoming for all
🏗️ Planning Updates
❌ Objected to: 18A–20 High Street (betting shop – loss of retail, poor frontage, too close to schools)
📘 Blue Plaque Scheme progressing – plaques planned for historic sites
🚗 Work underway with SEPP on High Street parking restrictions
High Street Survey progressing – meeting to be held with Bus companies and relevant stakeholders
