🎃 Spooky Halloween Market (Sat 1 Nov) was a great success — busy, festive, and full of community spirit. Thank you to everyone who joined us!
✨ Christmas Lights Switch-On (22 Nov) was a huge success despite the rain — Wickford came out in force to kick off the festive season!
🧹 Environmental Services Operative
Our new Environmental Services Operative started this month and was straight out in the High Street keeping Wickford clean and tidy. He’ll be visiting different areas each week — if you have a concern, let us know and we’ll either help or pass it to the relevant authority:

🛡️ Community Safety Officers
Our Community Safety Officers continue to be a fantastic addition to Wickford — providing reassurance, visibility, and ongoing support to residents and businesses.
🏗️ Planning Updates
❌ Objected to: Hovefields Drive and 6 Long Meadow Drive due to Green Belt, overdevelopment, and highways concerns.
✅ Supported: Improvements at Castledon School for SEND pupils.
📘 Blue Plaque Scheme moving forward — two plaques have now been ordered to celebrate Wickford’s heritage.
🚗 Work continues with SEPP South Essex Parking Partnership) on reviewing High Street parking restrictions.
🌱 Allotment Survey
