🛍️ Spring High Street Markets — A Great Success
The Mother’s Day & Springtime Market (14 March) and Easter Market (28 March) were both well attended, bringing a great atmosphere to Wickford High Street and supporting local traders.
✨ The Square — New Vision
A refreshed vision for The Square in Market Lane will create a vibrant community space for events, businesses and activities — a place where Wickford comes together.

• Neighbourhood Plan progressing to the next stage
• Planning applications reviewed with objections raised where appropriate
🌳 Environment & Community Highlights
• Daffodils, cherry trees and woodland planting across Wickford
• Allotment arrangements progressing
• New “Welcome to Wickford” sign locations agreed and being progressed
• Support for the Great British Spring Clean
💷 Finance & Community Support
• Council finances reviewed to ensure responsible management
• New youth gaming group launched at the Town Council Office
• The project to provide a youth worker in Wickford, with Bar ‘n’ Bus is progressing well

Our first Town Council newsletter has been printed and delivered, copies are also available from the Town Council office during opening hours.
