The Town Council is delighted to be working together with the new Wickford Town Centre Task Group established by the Safer Basildon Partnership.
The purpose of the group is to facilitate a multi-agency response to improve local neighbourhoods, in this case Wickford Town Centre, by reducing, preventing and enforcing crime and anti-social behaviour (ASB).
The group will achieve this by utilising a problem-solving approach through the formulation of a robust partnership action plan to respond to persistent crime and ASB that is having a detrimental impact on the quality of life of residents.
The operational group will work as a collective to respond effectively and efficiently through timely information and intelligence sharing, pooling and targeting of resources, focusing delivery on a strong and focused action plan, for the short, medium and long term.
Meetings are currently held fortnightly.
