Following permission from the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner’s office we are very pleased to announce the provision Community Safety Officers for Wickford.
Back in September the Town Council approached the PFCC for help and assistance with the anti-social behaviour in Wickford at that time.
We were successful in a grant application for joint funding for 2 Community Safety Officers 3 days a week (8 hours a day).
These officers will provide a visible, consistent and reassuring presence in the community, focusing on safety, engagement and support.
This will be a vital link between the public, local services and enforcement bodies.
The Wickford BID will be funding a BID Ranger for a 4th day which will focus on business engagement, environmental monitoring and improvements to the street scene.
