Phase 1 of the planting scheme at the Nevendon Road and Cranfield Park Road roundabout has now been completed.
Twelve trees have been planted by Essex Forestry Department and they include:
Birch, Maple, Liquid Amber, Limes
1st phase of planting:
Agapanthus, Anthemis hyb. ‘E.C. Buxton’, Atriplex halimus, Bergenia cordifolia, Calamagrostis acut. ‘Karl Foerster’, Ceanothus ‘Concha’, Ceratostigma plumbaginoides, Cistus ladanifer, Cistus purpureus, Eryngium yuccifolium, Hyssopus officinalis, Nepeta ‘Walker’s Low’, Salvia nemoroa ‘Caradonna’, Santolina chamaecyparissus, Sedum ‘Herbstfreude’, Stachys byzantina, Stipa gigantea
Phase 2 is due to start shortly and will include:
Crocosmia ‘Lucifer’, Echinacea purpurea, Gaura lindh. ‘Gambit Pink’, Lavandula ang. ‘Hidcote’, Potentilla nep. ‘Miss Willmott’, Stipa gigantea
They have been chosen for seasonal colour and wildlife attraction.
